หลังจากปล่อยให้แฟนๆ รอเป็นเวลาถึง 2 ปี ล่าสุด HONNE ได้ปล่อย mixtape ในชื่อ ‘no song without you’ ที่มี 14 เพลงใหม่ออกมาให้ฟังกันอย่างจุใจ โดยเอ็มวีแอนิเมชั่นสุดอบอุ่นของเพลงชื่อเดียวกันที่ทั้งคู่ปล่อยออกมาเป็นเพลงแรกก็มียอดวิวทะลุ 1.6 ล้านไปแล้ว

โดย mixtape ‘no song without you’ มีเนื้อหาที่เต็มไปด้วยการมองโลกในแง่บวก เพื่อเตือนให้ทุกคนให้ความสำคัญกับคนรอบข้างและโลกของพวกเราอีกด้วย จังหวะสดใส เสียงซินธิไซเซอร์ที่อ่อนโยน และสไตล์เพลงแบบ HONNE ที่ทางวงได้สั่งสมการทดลองมาตลอด 2 ปีน่าจะถูกใจแฟนๆ หลายๆ คน โดยวงได้กล่าวไว้ว่า "พวกเราอยากพัฒนาไปเรื่อยๆ และไม่อยากจะทำเพลงในแบบเดิมๆ" วงยังพูดขำๆ ตอนที่เอ็มวีออกมาด้วยว่า "ทุกคนคงไม่คิดว่าเราจะหายไป 2 ปีแล้วกลับมาด้วยเพลงเดียวหรอกนะ"

ทั้งคู่เขียนเพลงในอัลบั้ม ‘no song without you’ ระหว่างอยู่ที่ L.A. และเมือง Hackney ฝั่ง East London และก็บันทึกเสียงกันในช่วงล็อคดาวน์ที่ผ่านมา หากลองฟังทุกเพลงในชุดนี้ จะเห็นได้ว่า HONNE ได้มีการทำเพลงให้ดิบมากขึ้น มีการหยิบเอากีตาร์โปร่งมาเล่น และยังเติมอารมณ์โรแมนติคแบบยุค 60s เข้าไปด้วย

UK duo HONNE's have dropped a brand new 14-track Mixtape ‘no song with you’ as a first material after 2 years. The release of lead title-track heartfelt animated music video past June has already rocked up over 1.6 million views in a matter of weeks. This mixtape is full of much-needed positivity and reminds people to cherish in both the people and the world around them with upbeat, tender synth and truly unique style -- a sound HONNE have been experimenting with since the turn of the year. “We want to keep evolving and never want to stay in the same lane.” HONNE stated, "You didn’t think we’d disappear for 2 years and only give you one song did you?"

Written between LA and their new studio in Hackney, East London before finishing it during lockdown, ‘no song with you’ sees HONNE strip everything back to leave things a little rawer, pick up their acoustic guitars and channel the psychedelic, infectious, care-free romanticism of the ‘60s.
