#HYHupdate : THE RADIO DEPT. — NEW 7” WITH 2 NEW SONGS
เป็นข่าวดีที่ The Radio Dept. หนึ่งในวง dream pop จากสวีเดนที่พวกเราชอบมากที่สุด และเคยพามาเล่นในเมืองไทยถึง 2 ครั้งเริ่มกลับมาทยอยปล่อยเพลงใหม่อีกครั้งในปีนี้ หลังจากที่เงียบหายไปตั้งแต่อัลบั้ม Running Out Of Love ที่ออกมาในปี 2016 ซึ่งเราได้ข่าวมาว่าทางวงมีความตั้งใจที่จะปล่อยเพลงใหม่ออกมาเรื่อยๆ แล้วค่อยรวมเพลงทั้งหมดเป็นอัลบั้มเต็ม
ล่าสุดเมื่อไม่กี่วันก่อน The Radio Dept. ได้ปล่อยเพลงใหม่อีก 2 เพลงออกมาให้พวกเราเป็นเจ้าของกันได้ในรูปแบบแผ่นเสียง 7” โดยหน้า A มีเพลง “You’re Lookin’ At My Guy” เพลง jangle-pop ฟังสบายซึ่งเป็นเพลงคัฟเวอร์ของวง The Tri-Lites และหน้า B มีเพลง “Could You Be the One” ที่มีความขรึมมากกว่า ลองฟังทั้ง 2 เพลงได้ หรือจะสั่งซื้อแผ่นเสียงก็ได้ที่ปุ่ม BUY/LISTEN ด้านล่าง
หากใครพลาดไป The Radio Dept. ได้มีการปล่อยซิงเกิ้ลออกมา 2 เพลงก่อนหน้านี้ เพลงแรก “The Absence Of Birds” ออกมาในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ และตามมาติดๆ ในเดือนมีนาคมด้วยเพลง “You Fear The Wrong Thing.” ลองฟังทั้ง 2 เพลงได้ที่ด้านล่าง
Our favorite Swedish dream-pop band, the Radio Dept. haven’t released a full-length album since 2016’s Running Out Of Love, but they’ve been sharing some new singles lately. And there seems to be more to come!
The idea, it seems, is to keep releasing singles throughout the year and then eventually collect them on a full-length record. Just a few days ago, the Radio Dept. have shared two more songs on a new 7″. The A-side is a sighing jangle-pop cover of the Tri-Lites’ 1964 single “You’re Lookin’ At My Guy,” while the B-side is a quieter, twinkly original with some very pretty horns “Could You Be the One”.
